Cookie Policy

We keep tracking to a minimum. This page explains what cookies and similar technologies the Site uses, under the GDPR and the German TDDDG.

Our approach

Hedge Fund Interview is privacy-light. The Site does not set advertising, marketing or cross-site tracking cookies, and it does not run third-party ad networks. We do not load non-essential cookies without your prior consent.

What we currently use

  • Strictly necessary: a small number of first-party cookies/storage entries may be used purely to operate the Site (for example, to remember a cookie-consent choice if a banner is shown). These do not require consent under the TDDDG.
  • Sign-in cookie (strictly necessary, only if you use the Practice area): signing in to a practice account sets a first-party cookie named hfi_auth that keeps you signed in between pages. It is removed when you sign out. Without it an account cannot work, so it does not require consent under the TDDDG.
  • Practice progress while signed out (strictly necessary, browser storage not cookies): if you answer questions without an account, your browser stores how many you have answered under keys beginning hfi_guest_ so the Site can show your run back to you. It never leaves your browser. Clearing site data removes it.
  • No analytics or advertising cookies are set at this time.

If analytics is added later

If we introduce privacy-friendly analytics in future, we will either use a cookieless solution or request your explicit consent before setting any non-essential cookie, and this page (and our Privacy Policy) will be updated accordingly.

Managing cookies

You can clear or block cookies at any time in your browser settings (Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge all provide controls under Settings → Privacy). Because we set no non-essential cookies, blocking them will not affect your ability to read the Site.

Email resources

The CV template and the recruiting tracker are not downloadable yet, and no page on this site asks for an email address, so nothing about them involves a cookie. See the Free Resources section of our Privacy Policy.
